Tabor City, NC

Ms. Ila V Fipps, age 83, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville.  Born January 20, 1934 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Numpy A. and Sessie Magnolia Fowler Fipps.

She is survived by three sisters: Winetta Fipps Martin of Fuquay Varina, NC  Frances “Patsy” Merritt of Tabor City, Marilyn Jo Fipps of Tabor City; one brother: James Ted Fipps of Maryville, TN; fourteen nieces; and six nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
