William Nelson Currie, age 79, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, died Friday, May 29, 2020 in the McLeod Loris Hospital. Born August 14, 1940 in Wadesboro, NC, he was the son of the late Lum Bolton Currie and Ruth Winfree Currie.

Mr. Currie was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Haywood Currie of the home; three daughters: Jocarole Currie Demas and husband Christopher of Middletown, MD, Beth Currie Turner and husband Robby of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Amy Currie Compeau and husband Todd of Cumming, GA; six grandchildren: Caleb Demas, William Demas, Hunter Pharr, Clara Compeau, Eli Compeau and Rhiannon Turner.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
