William "Jake" Cartrette Obituary

Tabor City, NC

William C. "Jake" Cartrette, 92, of the Sandy Plain community, died Sunday, February 5, 2023, in McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River.

His is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosa Nell Cartrette, of the home; one son, William Cartrette (Beth) of Garner, NC; three daughters, Diane Watts (Ronny), Gwen Hill (Dyrell), and Phyllis Lanier (Timmy), all of Tabor City; four brothers, Larry Cartrette (Annette), Robert Cartrette (Debbie), Tommy Cartrette (Angie), and David Cartrette (Nadine), all of Tabor City; three sisters, Rebecca Duncan (Van) of Loris, Barbara Inman (Allen) and Fannie Watts, both of Tabor City; seven grandchildren, Andreau, Natasha, Kirk, Zack, Ada, Lauren, and Ashlynn; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie and Pete Cartrette; one sister, Viola Prince; one grandson, Luke Lanier; and one great-grandchild, Jasper Lowery.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 8 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in the funeral home chapel.
