Virginia Blanton Netzband, age 70, of West Columbia, SC, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC. Born February 25, 1950 in Mullins, SC, she was the daughter of the late Waddell Blanton and Elma Shelley Blanton.
She is preceded in death by brothers: Paul Blanton and Walter Blanton; and sister: Elizabeth Blanton.
Virginia grew up in the Duford Community of Horry County and graduated from Floyds High School in 1968. After living 20 years in Nichols, SC, she moved to West Columbia, SC in the mid-1990’s where she lived until her death.
She is survived by one son: Jim Netzband of Hallowell, ME; one brother: Clifford W. Blanton of Lexington SC; sister: Alice Blanton of West Columbia, SC; and one grandson: Jim Netzband III of Tacoma, WA.
A memorial graveside service will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 1 PM in the Blanton Cemetery.
