Teresa (Cox) Prince

Teresa Cox Prince, 74, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She was born February 24, 1948, in Tabor City, a daughter of the late L.B. Cox and Elois Graham Cox.

Teresa was a graduate of Tabor City High School and stayed in touch with many of her close friends. If you ever crossed paths with her, she made you feel loved and you were a friend for life. She loved people, adored her family, and touched a place in your heart you’ll always remember.
 
She was passionate about beautiful things and was so creative, which showed in everything she did throughout her life - be it gardening, decorating, cooking, planning parties, helping with church functions or family reunions. Her family was everything to her. She was a natural leader and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If Teresa said she’d pray for you, she meant it.
 
She truly loved every minute of her boys racing and never missed seeing them in action. She was always their biggest fan, and everyone knew that they were her pride and joy. She truly lived for them, as well as her grandchildren, who all brought her immeasurable joy.
 
When you see a beautiful flower, a banana clip with big bows, or anything that sparkles, know that she will always be with you in spirit. She will be greatly missed, yet always remembered by those who were blessed by her friendship and love. There will never be another like Teresa Cox Prince.

She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Prince of the home; two sons, Kevin (Denise Albea) Prince of Rocky Point, NC and Chris (Tonya) Prince of Castle Hayne, NC; grandchildren, Dalton Prince, Trista Prince, and Raelyn Prince; one brother, Mark (Kathy) Cox of Tabor City; brothers and sisters in law, Roger and Susan Prince and Carl and Jewel Sarvis; an adopted daughter, Megan Stanley; and special friends, Doris Hewitt and Mary Cottle.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Krause.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Inman Ward Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Old Springfield Cemetery in Loris. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
