Ruth Harrelson Gause, age 94, of Loris died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from a longterm, extended illness in her home with her family by her side. Born May 30, 1926 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Emma Floyd Harrelson and the widow of Shirley Dayton Gause.

She is survived by two sons: Richard Dale Gause and his wife Marlene of Columbia, SC and Dennis Gause and his wife Sarah of Loris, SC; five daughters: Donna Todd and her husband Winston of Loris, SC, Sylvia Dorman and her husband Legrande of Conway, SC, Sandra Hardee and her husband Sammy of Loris, SC, Paula Soles of Loris, SC and Sharon Hooks of Loris, SC; eleven grandchildren: Wanda Wagner (Steph) of Columbia, Rhonda Richardson (Wyman) Arkansas, Amanda Jewell of New Bern, NC, Jeffery Todd (Wendy) of Loris, SC, Ginger Dorman Peloquin (Shane) of Tennessee, Nichole Hembree (Jeff) of Conway, SC, Chad Hardee (Jean Marie) of Conway, SC, Natalie Huff (Rob) of Loris, SC, Kim Soles Ward (Mitchell) of Whiteville, NC and Jay Soles (Layla) of Loris, SC, Jamie Hooks (Vanessa) of Little River, SC and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: Gene Harrelson and one sister: Jewel Harrelson Willis.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, funeral services will be private.
