Rosabell (Faircloth) Powell

Rosabell Powell, 96, of Clarendon, N.C., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, February 14, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late George Washington Faircloth and Beulah Bernice (Duncan) Faircloth of Tabor City.

She is survived by one son, Monte Powell (Janice) of Clarendon; three daughters, Gail Cannon and Wilma Goins (Tim), both of Whiteville and Melody Smith (Scott) of Clayton, NC; ten grandchildren, Christy Dehne, Monte Powell, Jr. (Kelly), Kyle Powell (Susan), Benjamin Greene (Amy), Sarai Cannon, Ryan Goins (Crystal), Heather Goins, Brett Goins (Kristi), Eric Powell (Jennifer), and Patrick Powell (Jackie); fourteen great-grandchildren, Zachary (Michelle), Aaron, Monte, III, Elizabeth, Carson, Ellie, Savannah, Siler, Scarlett, Emma, Owen, Preston, Jase, and Wyatt; and two great-great-grandchildren, Maci and Walker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Thelbert Lacy Powell; a brother, Horace Faircloth; one infant daughter (Amy Carol); two infant sons; and one infant great-granddaughter (Serenity Rose).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 17 at Clarendon Baptist Church, with Rev. Ryan Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church.
