Nichols, SC

Phillip Lee Small, age 72, of Nichols, SC, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in his home. Born October 17th 1948 in Marion County, SC, he was the son of the late Harry Lee Small and Mable Stewart Small.

He is survived by his wife Edwina (Winnie) Small of the home. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Phil Small and wife Shelia of Chadbourn, NC, Lori Butner and husband Anthony of Fair Bluff, NC, Nicklaus Hardie of Nichols, SC, Nicole Millsap and husband Travis of Nichols, SC; nine grandchildren: Drake Ellis, Stewart Small, Tucker Ellis, Alexandria Small, Emma Small, Lucas Butner, Mylee Millsap, Bella Hardie, and Hardie Millsap; three great grandchildren.

He leaves behind his sister Judy Enzor of Fair Bluff, NC and also a special friend Michael Lenz of Nichols, SC.

Phillip was a man of strong faith and loved and obeyed the Lord. He was a member of Grassy Bay Baptist Church located in Green Sea, South Carolina.  He worked 30 years for Universal Leaf Tobacco and 6 years with Phillip Morris before he retired. Phillip had a big heart for animals and loved living out in the country where he could take in all of God’s beauties. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Grassy Bay Baptist Church. 3400 Bayview Drive Green Sea SC 29545.

A private service for family will be held at Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff, NC.
