Phillip Condo Cox, age 66, died Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Born February 9, 1954 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Spurgeon Condo and Allene Ivey Cox.
He is survived by his wife: Debra Cox of the home: two daughters: Tiffany Cox Gurley (David Inman) of Tabor City, NC and Nicole Cox Norris (Grant) of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Greta Ragan of Tabor City, NC; and three grandchildren: Cameron Williams, Cody Gurley and Colton Norris.
Phil loved to cook for the Stallion Club and help anyone he could. He was retired from the Tabor City Fire Department after 20 years and the North Carolina Department of Correction in the maintenance department after 28 years. He was a member of the Sandy Plain Baptist Church and a funeral assistant at Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Norris Cemetery, Swamp Fox Hwy E., Tabor City, NC.
