Pecolia Gaskins

Pecolia Wood Gaskins, age 87, of Tabor City, NC died Saturday, March 6, 2021 in her home. Born March 11, 1933 in New Hanover County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Jethro and Emily Cook Wood and the widow of JC Gaskins.

She is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Gaskins and his wife Elaine of Tabor City, NC and Mark Gaskins and his wife JoAnn of Wilmington, NC; one daughter: Deborah Sue Gaskins of Martinsville, VA; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son: Joseph Carey Gaskins; four brothers: Frank Wood, Thomas Wood, Joe Wood, Sr. and Infant brother; four sisters: Catherine Long, Claudia Smith, Virginia Livingston and Infant sister.

Mrs. Gaskins was a faithful member of the Iron Hill Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
