Norman Devon Tyree, age 82, of Whiteville, NC, died Monday, May 15, 2023 in his home. Born September 30, 1940 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Clyde H. Tyree and Pearlie Stephens Tyree and the widower of Irene Cartrette Tyree.
He is survived by one sister, Ann Cartrette of Chadbourn, NC; one grandson, Josh Reaves of Whiteville, NC; extended family and close friends, Charles and Jerry Inman.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Norma Ray Reaves; and four brothers, Floyd Tyree, Winston Tyree, James Tyree and Wayne Tyree.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
The family will receive friends after the service in the cemetery
