Mary R. “Bonnie” Ward, 72, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at MUSC in Charleston, SC. She was born December 10, 1949, a daughter of the late Erskine Strickland and Bertha Calder Strickland.
Survivors include her husband, Corbett Ward, Jr. of the home; one son, Jeff (Jessica) Watts of Little Mountain, SC; one daughter, Regina (Drake) Fowler of North Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren, Brooke Fowler, Adam Fowler, Donovan Watts, and Nathan Watts; three great-grandchildren, Lexi, Zoey, and Kace; two brothers, Rossie (Vicki) Strickland of Newton Grove, NC and Roger Locklear of Tabor City; and one sister, Debbie Grainger of Garner, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Joey Watts.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 1 at Carolina Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeff Blanton and Rev. Benji Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Green Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday at Inman Ward Funeral Home.
