Lizzie Watts Smith age 90 of the Pireway Community Tabor City, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 in McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC.
Born in Columbus County, NC she was the daughter of the late Ned and Gertie McLamb Watts. She was the widow of Hubert Elderidge Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Smith Ward and husband Larry of Tabor City, NC.
Two grandchildren, Jennifer McPherson and husband Rocky of Clarendon, NC. Travis Ward and wife Jennifer of Tabor City, NC, six great grandchildren, Acie Soles and husband Dustin, Trey Smith and wife Nicole, Angel McPherson, Ellorie Ward, Tripp Ward, Adelyn Ward, one great-great grandchild, Timber Soles.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Benny Eugene Smith, one daughter, Nancy Smith Reaves, seven brothers and five sisters, two grandchildren, Amanda Ward and Benny Eugene Smith Jr. “PeeWee”
She was a member of Pireway Original Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Pireway Original Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Pireway Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00PM in Inman Ward Funeral Home & Crematory.
