Letha Pearl (Smith) McDaniels

Letha Pearl Smith McDaniels age 91, of Clarendon, NC died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in her home with family by her side.

Born in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Archie R. Smith and Addie Marenda Ward Smith.

She was the widow of the late Thomas Huey McDaniels.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Carol McDaniels of Tabor City, NC, Phyllis Ann McDaniels of Loris, SC, Gelia Lerenda Guyton (Berry Stephen) of Clarendon, NC, Wendy McDaniels Tedder (Harold Dean) of Garner, NC, one brother, Archie Thurston Smith of Greenville, NC. Five grandsons, Stephen Joses Guyton, Nathan Carl Guyton, David Preston Morton, Joshua Caleb Tedder, Seth Josiah Tedder; three great grandchildren, Brantley Hobbs, Gunner Hobbs, & Elizabeth Guyton.

In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. George Calvin Smith, & Ralph Dayton Smith.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 2:00pm in the Mission Valley Original Free Will Baptist Church by Rev. Adolph Smith, Rev. George Jerome Smith, and Rev. Paul Lambert with burial to follow in the Smith Cemetery on Butler Town Rd. Whiteville, NC.
