Green Sea, SC 

Mr. Larry Grainger, age 68, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in his home.  Born July 14, 1948 in Columbus County, he was the son of Iree West Grainger of Green Sea and the late Ralph Grainger.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons: Larry R. Grainger of Waterbury, VT, Eric Cox of Loris; two daughters: Candy Grainger of Maiden, Laura Grainger of Aynor; three sisters: Patricia Norris of Thomasville, NC, Linda Poston of Tabor City, Sylvia Hughes of Middlesex, NC; four grandchildren: Bobby Detter III, Brandy Detter, Haylee Johnson and Hunner Johnson.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by one brother: Bobby Grainger; and one sister: Peggy Blaylock.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 3 PM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Mercy Care, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC  28401.
