Kathleen Fowler Suggs, age 86, of Tabor City, NC, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 in the McLeod Loris Hospital. Born April 4, 1934 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Asbury and Quillie Fowler and the widow of Dewey Edsel “Teddy” Suggs.
She is survived by one son: Teddy Edsel Suggs and wife Dula of Tabor City; four daughters: Teresa Horne and fiancé Sam Babbidge of Conway, SC, Mercedes Hardee of Tabor City, NC, Karen Bracey and husband Coy of Carvers Creek, NC and Devona Fowler of Loris, SC; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Glen Fowler and MC Fowler; and three sisters: Thelma Hardee, Alene Gerald and Beulah Cox.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Global Partners c/o Old Zion Wesleyan Church, 10144 Swamp Fox Hwy E., Tabor City, NC or Gideons International.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2 PM in the Old Zion Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
