Johnny Franklin Grice, 77, died Monday, January 23, 2023, in McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River. He was born in Whiteville, a son of the late John William and Beulah Caroline (Watts) Grice.
He was a boilermaker by trade, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an active member of Dulah Baptist Church and loved fishing. Johnny was an avid drag racer, participating in racing whenever he could before his illness prevented it.
He is survived by numerous family members and friends, and his grandchildren Chet Hartman, Steven Ritchie, and Luke Ritchie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Mitchell Grice.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, January 26 in Inman Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 27 in Dulah Baptist Church.
