John Thomas Burroughs age 54, died Friday May 6, 2022 in his home. Born in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Volley Reese Burroughs Jr. “VR” and Ann Fowler Burroughs. He is survived by the mother of his children, Tabitha Lynn Jones of Loris, SC, two sons; Thomas Trace Burroughs of Loris, SC, Holden Reese Burroughs of Loris, SC. One daughter, Amber Lynn Burroughs of Loris, SC. One brother, Trent Burroughs of Tabor City, NC, two grandchildren, Jayce Burroughs, and Kaeclyn Poston. Three sisters; Ruthann Swanson of Hendersonville, NC, Cindy Phillips of Wake Forest, NC, Susan Gibson of North Pole, Alaska.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00AM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.

Family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
