Jimmy Calvin McPherson, age 80, of the Beaverdam Community died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Columbus Regional Healthcare System. Born January 14, 1940 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of late Fred and Bessie McPherson.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Lou Cribb McPherson of the home; three daughters: Roxanne McPherson Duncan of Morganton, NC, Tammy McPherson Coleman of Clarendon, NC and Amanda McPherson of Chadbourn, NC; three son: Glenn McPherson of Chadbourn, NC., Rocky McPherson of Clarendon, NC., Shandel McPherson of Whiteville, NC; one brother: Hoyt McPherson of Clarendon, NC; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Brianna McPherson; three sisters: Lucy McPherson Monroe, Nellie McPherson Lee, Betty McPherson Lisk; three brothers: Howard McPherson, Alfred McPherson, and James David McPherson.

Mr. Jimmy was a faithful member of Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church where he served as an elder of the church.

Graveside services will be held Saturday January 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
