Janice Gore Smith, age 78, of Whiteville, NC, died Monday, February 10, 2020 in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, Whiteville, NC. Born July 2, 1941 in Robeson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Joe Lupton and Del Bella Gore.
She is survived by one daughter: Sheila Caines and husband William of Loris, SC; one son: William Shawn Smith of Florence, SC; one sister: Brenda Kay Horne of Whiteville, NC; five grandchildren: Candace Smith, Trey Caines, Lance Caines, Annabelle Caines and Alyssa Caines; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Wayne Gore; one grandson: William Kirk Smith.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the Gore Cemetery on MM Ray Rd. Tabor City, NC.
