Alice Irene “Cricket” Ward Small, 85, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 in McLeod Loris Hospital. Born February 7, 1937 in Tabor City, she was a daughter of the late Lonzie D. Ward and Doretha Bell (Grainger) Ward.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeanene Tyree of Whiteville; one brother, Elton Ward of Florida; four grandchildren, C.J. (Justin) Watts, Joey (Crystal) Watts, Troy (Tiffany) Nobles, and Jeremy (Grace) Nobles; fourteen great-grandchildren; and Krystal Ward, wife of her grandson, Michael Troy Watts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Troy Small; one son, Anthony Troy Small; one daughter, Lori Nobles; one grandson, Michael Troy Watts; one great-grandson, Zayn Michael Watts; five brothers; and five sisters.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Inman Ward Funeral Home and Crematory, who is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be held later in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
