Tabor City, NC

Mr. Howard Rupert Soles, age 93, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in his home.  Born October 30, 1922 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Furnie Soles and Elizabeth Fowler Soles and the widower of Louise Jacobs Soles.

He is survived by one granddaughter, Susan Cartrette (Gregory); four great grandchildren, Harriett Greene (Chuck), Rebekah Cartrette, Matthew Cartrette, Elizabeth Cartrette; two great great grandchildren, Chase Greene, Harmony Greene; and daughter in law, Debbie Workinger. 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Harry Workinger; one brother, George Hubert Soles, Sr.; three sisters, Leatha S. Soles, Bernice S. Sarvis, and Lula S. Wright.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 3 PM in the Emmanuel Holiness Church, Tabor City, NC.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
