Harvey Brooks Fowler, age 85, died Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC. Born in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Brookie and Isadell Hilbourn Fowler. He was a retired MSG from the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Harvey was a member of the VFW/American Legion of Vietnam Veterans. He was a master mason and past master of Tabor Lodge 563 and a Sudan Shriner and member of Columbus County Shrine club.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna Brooks Alioto and husband Blake of Tabor City, NC, one son, Ronnie Brooke Fowler and wife Lara of Tabor City, NC, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Louise Fowler, one son Kenny Oree Fowler, three brothers, Everette Braxton Fowler, Carl Fowler, Horace Fowler, and one sister, Estelle Hilbourn.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the New Life Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
