Gordon Woodell

Gordon Woodell, age 78, of Tabor City, NC, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born November 30, 1942 in Robeson County, NC, he was the son of the late Colon Ray Woodell and Hallie Bass Woodell.

Mr. Gordon was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Ann Strickland Woodell of the home; two sons: Kenneth Gene Woodell and wife Jennifer of Loris, SC and Terry Wayne Woodell and wife Linda of Chadbourn, NC; one brother: Samuel Corbett Woodell of Fairmont, NC; two sisters: Beth Hogan of Georgia and Brenda Leathman of Tennessee; five grandchildren: Zachary Gore Woodell, Cameron Wayne Woodell, Billy Johnson, Kayla Todd and Coy Todd;  four great-grandchildren: Landon Todd, Billy Paul Todd, Alexis Todd and Cason Todd and two special friends: Brandon Cross and Danielle Cross.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson: Michael Paul Todd and one sister: Clementime Pickett

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
