Mr. Gary Duval Fairfax, age 73, of Mooresville, NC, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, NC.  Born May 16, 1943 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Frank Fairfax and Ethel Blackwell Fairfax and the widower of Pearline Duncan Fairfax.

He is survived by one son, Gary Devon Fairfax of Mooresville; one daughter, Rosa Denise Fairfax of Oak Island; two sisters, Pauline Dew of Hallsboro, Shirley Lewis of Cerro Gordo; and three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Cecil Fairfax.  

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
