Floyd Robert Hinson, age 75, of the Beaverdam Community died Friday, November 13, 2020 in Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC. Born April 19, 1945 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Walter and Carrie Ward Hinson and the widower of Polly Ann Cartrette Hinson.
He is survived by one son Tony Hinson and his wife Jonna of Clarendon, NC; three sisters: Annie Hill of Elizabethtown, NC, Mildred Ward and her husband Johnny of Whiteville, NC, and Charlene Watts of Whiteville, NC; two grandchildren: Dustin Spivey and his wife Lucinda and Jonathan Spivey and his wife Andrea; and three great grandchildren: Riley Benton, Kaitlyn Spivey and Caleb Spivey.
Mr. Robert was a member and attended Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church. He worked in the construction industry and retired from Warco Construction Company.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Seay officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
