Belle Bruton, 93, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her daughter’s home. She was born May 16, 1923 in Nakina, NC, the daughter of the late Ballon and Ida Rhodes Watts and the widow of Harry Floyd Bruton, Sr.

She was a member of Iron Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Mitchell) Ward of Tabor City; two sons, Ronnie (Robin) Bruton of North Charleston, SC and Timmy (Freda) Bruton of New Orleans, LA; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son: Harry Floyd Bruton, Jr.; and one daughter: Donnis Bruton McMahan.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
