Alice Carolyn (Gregory) Gore

Alice Carolyn Gregory Gore age 94, formerly of the Pireway Community in Tabor City, died Saturday, December 25, 2021in Wilmington, NC. Born in Auburndale, FL., she was the daughter of the late David Alexander Gregory and Ruth Valentine Gregory.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Gore Barefoot and husband Donald of Wilmington, NC., five sons; William David Gore and wife Rose of Nakina, NC., Albert G. Gore and wife Wanda of Ocala, FL., Seth Cleveland Gore of Tabor City, NC., Adam F. Gore and wife Jeana of Duncan, SC, Anthony J. Gore and wife Wanda of Tabor City, NC. , seventeen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lester Gore, one son, Thomas L. Gore and wife Ella Nolan Gore of Murrells Inlet, SC; sisters, Margaret Satterfield of Daytona, FL and Ruth Blanton of Salt Lake City, UT, two brothers, Joe Gregory of LaFayette, GA and David Gregory of Cartersville, GA, and another daughter-in-law, Judy Blackmon Gore, wife of Seth Cleveland Gore.

Carolyn was always pressing toward the high calling of Jesus. She lived transparently before God and man and she is now face to face with the one she loved so well and served so diligently. She trusted God and left behind a living legacy of others to serve God.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Pireway Cemetery, Tabor City.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
