Albert Lewis

Loris, SC

Albert Lewis, age 93, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the Angel House Hospice Care Center, Whiteville, NC. He was born June 13, 1926 in Horry County, SC and was the son of the late Jesse Daniel and Fannie Simmons Lewis. 

Mr. Lewis was a retired machine operator and farmer.  He was a member of Dogwood Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives: Dola Beatrice Fowler Lewis and Velma Gerald Booth Lewis; two sons: Billy Lewis and Keith Lewis; two daughters in law; one great grandchild; three brothers; and one sister. 

He is survived by son: Donald Lewis (Laura) of Loris, SC; two daughters: Linda Tompkins (Gene) of Red Springs, NC and Patsy Gore of Loris, SC; three step daughters: Loretta Gerald, Jenny McNeil and Kay Benton; one step son: Lundy Booth; eleven grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; special friends: Eula Jaye Collins, Sheryl Hardee and Robert Hansen.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2 PM in Dogwood Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
