Thomas Wadsworth Stanley, age 89, died Monday, December 2, 2019 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC. Born September 5, 1930 in Columbus County, NC, he is the son of the late Thomas Prosper and Eva Lula Stanley and the widower of Donna Louise Rimmer Stanley.
He is survived by one sister: Cleo Flowers of Wilmington, NC and a special Christian lady: Saundra G. Hardie.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Robert Stanley, Fred Stanley, Etheridge Stanley and Delphus Stanley; two sisters: Geneva Long and Mary Rote.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11 AM in the Sweet Home Baptist Church with burial to follow in Stanley Cemetery, Mollie Rd., Clarendon, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
