Teru Anazawa Simmons, age 89, died in her home Monday, October 14, 2019.

Born in Iwate-Ken, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Ikechi and Tomie Asakura Anazawa. She was the widow of Howard Paul Simmons.

She is survived by one daughter, Kay Beck and husband Rickey Beck of Chadbourn, NC. Two sons, Richard Simmons and wife Sharon of Clarendon, NC, and Howard Simmons and wife Loretta, of Chadbourn, NC, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers in Japan.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 16^th, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
