Samuel Jackson Gore, age 87, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the Transitions Life Care Center, Raleigh, NC. He was the son of the late Samuel Pink Gore and Gracie Lee Long Gore and the widower of Marjorie Ward Gore.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one daughter: Dr. Rebecca A. Gore of Raleigh, NC; and one grandson: Samuel Gore Wilson.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Gore Wilson; one brother: Joe Gore; two sisters: Bobbie Stephens and Carol Stanley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00AM in the Bethel United Methodist Church, 2733 MM Ray Rd Clarendon, NC 28432.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
Burial will follow in the Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Clarendon, NC.
