Richard Grainger age 71 formally of Green Sea, SC died Saturday December 22, 2018 in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Born in Horry County, SC he was the son of late Dewey Rufus Grainger and Mable Eula Grainger.

He was a veteran where he served in the U.S. Army

He is survived by his wife, Winona Cox Davis of Tabor City. One daughter, Georganna G. Gore and husband Daylon of Tabor City, NC. Two brothers, Roger Grainger of Tabor City, NC., Stewart Grainger of Green Sea, SC., Three sisters, Sonda Jernigan of Green Sea, SC., Ann Caines of Green Sea, SC., Sheila Randal of Conway, SC. One granddaughter: Danielle Gore Spivey and husband Jonathan, two-great grandchildren, Ana Reese & Reid. One step daughter, Joanna Kinlaw and children Miranda, Brayden, & Jae Lynn. One step son, Johnathan Hayes and wife Misty and children Megan & Kayla.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Brendle Grainger, two sisters, Gloria Jean Grainger and Annell Grainger.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Carolina Baptist Church, Green Sea, SC., with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
