Myrtle Mae Currie, age 100, died Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the Brunswick Health Center, Ash, NC. Born March 14, 1919 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vander Norris and Lucy Cribb Norris.

She was the widow of Neil Calvin Currie Sr.

She is survived by two sons, Neil Calvin Currie Jr. and wife Susan of Clarendon, NC., Ricky Van Currie and wife Sandra of North Myrtle Beach, SC. One daughter, Priscilla Ward of Whiteville, NC, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Currie Godwin, one grandson Wilton Dale Godwin Jr. Three brothers: Coley Norris, Homer Norris, Emery Norris. Five sisters, Mordie Cribb, Pearl Stanley, Ruth Greene, Hazel Gore, Verbee Faulk.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Inman Ward Funeral Home from 12:30pm until 1:30pm.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Whiteville, NC.
