Marjorie Ward Gore age 83 died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in her home. Born in Columbus County, NC., she was the daughter of the late Lemon Paul Ward and Ruby Stephens Ward.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she served for many years as choir director, Sunday school director and a lay speaker.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel J. Gore of Clarendon, NC. Two daughters: Mary Gore Wilson of Clarendon, NC., Dr. Rebecca A. Gore of Raleigh, NC., one grandson, Samuel Gore Wilson of Clarendon, NC.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, LP Ward Jr., one sister, Doris Ward.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Bethel United Methodist Church, Clarendon, NC with burial to follow in Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Clarendon, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
