Joanne (Nobles) Johnson

JoAnne Nobles Johnson, age 70, died Saturday, June 8, 2019 in her home. Born October 18, 1948 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Taft and Alice Bertie Edwards Nobles and the widow of the Johnny Michael Johnson.

She is survived by two daughters: Sheila Bullock of Tabor City, NC and Polly Mahboub and husband Shiref of Bladenboro, NC; one son: Rev. Timmy Jay Hodge and wife Carla of Galivants Ferry, SC; one brother: Lloyd Nobles of Thomasville, NC; one sister: Lorean Fipps of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: JW Nobles and Johnny Nobles; one sister: Carlene Tinker.

She was a member of Emerson Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 10, 2019 from 6 til 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Emerson Original Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
