Ernest Ward age 72 died Friday November 22, 2019 in McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC. Born in Horry County, SC he was the son of the late James Gurtha Ward and Lettie Johnson Ward.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Hardie Ward of the home. Two sons: Shawn Ward and wife Stephanie of Green Sea, SC. Rusty Ward and wife Daphne of Green Sea, SC. Two daughters: Dawn Ward Yamaski and husband John of Surfside Beach, SC, Michelle Ward Dudney of Tabor City, NC., Two brothers, Elroy Ward of Green Sea, SC., Lonnie Ward of Tabor City, NC. One sister, Juanita Nobles of Whiteville, NC., six grandchildren and three step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Ward, Carl Ward, James Ward, Billy Ward, Four sisters: Ruby Fowler, Louise Bozeman, Ezeary Ward, and Mary Edwards.
Visitation will be held Sunday November 24, 2019 from 6pm until 8pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City, NC.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 25, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Carolina Cemetery, Green Sea, SC.
