Clara Iree (West) Grainger

Green Sea, SC

Mrs. Clara Iree Grainger, age 92, of Green Sea, SC, died Monday, February 18, 2019 in the McLeod Loris Hospital.  Born March 2, 1926 in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Turner West and Rosa Gause West and the widow of Ralph Reppert Grainger.

She is survived by three daughters: Patricia Norris of Thomasville, NC, Linda Faye Poston of Tabor City, NC, Sylvia Hughes of Middlesex, NC; one sister Maggie Sullivan of Selma, NC; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Larry Grainger and Bobby Grainger; one daughter: Peggy Blaylock; and one brother: Thomas West.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
